“Welcome in Damaraland” Our story My name is Joseph Kuvare. In the heart of Namibian Damaraland, my family has tilled the rugged earth for generations. Our farm, nestled beneath the towering peaks of the Brandberg Mountains, is a testament to resilience and tradition. Each morning, my parents, would rise with the sun, guiding their cattle to graze in the arid plains. I am carrying on their legacy, embracing modern farming techniques while honoring the ancient ways of our forefathers. They knew the land’s secrets, where water holes hid in rocky crevices and which trees offered the sweetest shade. But my family’s story didn’t end with farming alone. With the growing interest of tourists in Namibian landscapes, we have transformed a corner of our farm into a unique campsite. Under the shimmering desert stars, visitors from around the world enjoyed my parent’s warm hospitality, learning about the land, and hearing tales of life in Damaraland. Our campsite is more than a business: it is an opportunity to share our love for the land, to bridge cultures, and to ensure that my family’s legacy will endure for generations to come.
